2022 MIT Energy Hackathon

November 2022
1 of 10 teams out of a field of 100, Ph.D., MBA, and undergraduate teams to present in the final round of the 2022 MIT EnergyHack. Procured and cleaned datasets to support the decisions of commercial real estate owners in New York City to retrofit their buildings to meet future emissions regulations set by local laws. Created visualizations using Tableau and ArcGIS to show commercial real estate owners which kinds of buildings would be best to retrofit using reduction in emissions, decreased energy consumption and cost as benchmarks. Developed a financial model that allows commercial real estate owners to analyze ROI on retrofitting for specific buildings.
